May Ascend 2.0 Town Hall Recap

On May 23, the latest Ascend 2.0 Town Hall was held with the UCLA community. Attendees heard updates regarding BruinBuy Plus Release 1 (R1) stabilization and the path forward for Release 2 (R2) from Stephen Agostini, UCLA’s vice chancellor and chief financial officer.

The Ascend 2.0 program remains committed to the ongoing BruinBuy Plus stabilization and continuous improvement efforts that have been underway, which includes reducing the university’s invoice backlog. To ensure that our focus remains on BruinBuy Plus, university leaders have decided to delay the Bruin Finance and BruinBuy Plus R2 implementation from its originally scheduled January 2025 date. A thorough evaluation will be completed to determine a new go-live date that will enable the university to have a successful transformation. Once that date is determined, we will share it more broadly with the UCLA community.

BruinBuy Plus Reminders

Changing Notification Preferences

In BruinBuy Plus, you can update notification preferences to ensure you are contacted when certain actions are completed in the system: 

  • In the User Profile and Preference section, you can update the email address used to receive BruinBuy Plus notifications.  
  • In the Notification Preferences section, you can choose which BruinBuy Plus actions you want to receive email and/or system notifications for (e.g., when a cart is assigned to you).

As a reminder, you can access the Basic Functionality QRG for step-by-step instructions on how to update your user profile and notification preferences, as well as other navigation tips!

Invoice Processing by AP

AP is working diligently to get invoices paid as quickly as possible. As a reminder, the current processing date for invoice payments can be found on the AP Service Standard web page.
