Review this edition to learn about the April Ascend 2.0 Town Hall, recent orders that were not fulfilled by Amazon Business Prime, and more!
Ascend 2.0 Town Hall Recap
On April 24, attendees of the Ascend 2.0 Town Hall heard directly from Stephen Agostini, UCLA’s new Vice Chancellor and Chief Financial Officer, about the status of the recent BruinBuy Plus implementation. Stephen spoke to two key objectives that University leadership is currently focused on: reducing the backlog of open invoices and driving improvements in our procure-to-pay processes.
Rejected Amazon Orders
UCLA was made aware that approximately 150 Amazon Business punchout purchase orders (POs) created between April 17 and April 19 were not received/fulfilled by Amazon Business. If you still need these orders, please recreate the transaction through the Amazon Business punchout. The POs that were not received/fulfilled will be cancelled and closed to remove the encumbrance.
Small Business First Waiver
The UC Small Business First Program is a system-wide initiative to provide more accessible business opportunities for certified Small Businesses (SB) and Disabled Veteran Business Enterprises (DVBE). As part of the transition to BruinBuy Plus, the DocuSign Small Business First Waiver process has been sunset. The waiver is now embedded within the BruinBuy Plus Purchase Request form.
